“Believe and Be Justified”

 

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are save.        Romans 10:9-10

For, “EVERYONE who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”        Romans 10:13

 

You cannot gain God’s gift of SALVATION, just because you KNOW what Jesus did on the cross, to bring SALVATION to a LOST and DYING world.  But you MUST BELIEVE with ALL your HEART that “JESUS IS LORD,” and that God has RAISED Him from the dead.  It is NOT a MIND thing, but it definitely is a HEART thing.   It takes MIND, HEART and MOUTH to receive JUSTIFICATION. 

 

First you MUST have a SAVING KNOWLEDGE of Jesus Christ.  You NEED to KNOW what Jesus did for YOU.  And WHY He did it.   He SUFFERED through RIDICULE, DISRESPECT, CURSING, and VERBAL ABUSE, belittling Him and His claim to be the MESSIAH, the Son of God, King of the Jews.  He SUFFERED through PHYSICAL ABUSE as well.  He was SHOVED, BEATEN beyond recognition, SPAT upon, His beard was PLUCKED from His BRUISED FACE.  Then His hands and feet were nailed to a WOODEN CROSS, where He HUNG for hours, as His life’s blood fell to the ground.  Then the WORST part of ALL; He who KNEW NO SIN, BECAME SIN, and was separated from His Father, God.   Then He died, taking with Him the SINS of ALL MANKIND, PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE.  And He did it for ALL of MANKIND.  He was BURIED in a BORROWED TOMB, and on the THIRD DAY, neither DEATH nor the GRAVE could hold Him.   He, by the POWER of the ALMIGHTY GOD was RAISED from the tomb, a VICTOR over SIN and the GRAVE.   

 

You MUST BELIEVE this and ACCEPT it with ALL YOUR HEART, then ask God for His FORGIVENESS, and TELL EVERYONE you meet what Jesus has done for YOU.  The fact that He was OBEDIENT to God and gave His LIFE so that YOU might have ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN.  And be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPE.  Is this your DESTINY?  You can change your DESTINY from an ETERNITY in HELL to an ETERNITY in HEAVEN by:  Turning away from your sinful lifestyle and TURNING TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. Then BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and Is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and BELIEVE and be JUSTIFIED. ALL because of God’s UNFAILING LOVE for the Crown of His Creation; MANKIND.
