“Dying to Live”

 

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.          Galatians 2:20

 

In order, for a TRUE BELIEVER of the Lord Jesus Christ to LIVE SPIRITUALLY, and for ALL ETERNITY in Heaven, they must DIE to their OLD SINFUL lifestyle, and REJECT ALL of their OLD SINFUL, SELFISH ways.   And be willing to LIVE for Jesus Christ, the one who DIED for them and RESURRECTED so they may LIVE by FAITH, and be SPIRITUALLY ALIVE, and headed for an ETERNITY in Heaven.  Like the Apostle Paul, they can say:  “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer LIVE, but Christ LIVES in me.”  They have DETHRONED SELF and ENTHRONED Jesus Christ, to be LORD of their LIVES.

 

Therefore, if you have been CRUCIFIED with Christ, you LIVE for the LORD; and in DYING to SELF, you are DYING for the LORD.  So, whether we LIVE or DIE we BELONG to the LORD.  If you LIVE by your HUMAN NATURE, you will DIE a SPIRITUAL DEATH, and end up with HELL as your ETERNAL DESTINY.  But if you LIVE by the Spirit you will put to DEATH your SINFUL WAYS and you will LIVE SPIRITUALLY with HEAVEN as your ETERNAL DESTINY, because those who are LED by God’s Spirit ARE the TRUE Children of God.   (Romans 14:8, 8:13)

 

Because of Christ’s DEATH on the cross, DYING for ALL mankind, He brought SPIRITUAL LIFE to ALL who will ACCEPT Him as their Savior and Lord, and an ETERNAL HOME in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  It is the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD in the TRUE BELIEVER, which enables them to LIVE by FAITH in Christ Jesus. 

 

Have you, like Paul, been CRUCIFIED with Christ, and is He LIVING in YOU?  Do you have HEAVEN as your ETERNAL HOME?  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you have NEITHER, but instead you are headed for an ETERNITY in Hell, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPE.  However, God in His INFINITE MERCY and AMAZING GRACE, is offering you ETERNAL LIFE, in Heaven, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  But you MUST TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus DIED for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be willing to DIE in order to LIVE for Christ Jesus.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
